Certificate Level is the entry route to the CIMA qualification. If you have exemptions then you may be able to go straight to Operational Level.

BA1 is to offer learners an understanding of how an organisation would make decisions on their economic activity, using calculations to support their decisions.
Learners will consider the country’s national income and impact of growth, also studying the influences of on economic development.
BA2 explains the underpinning knowledge and techniques appertaining to Management Accounting that lies within an organisation.
Learners will be introduced to the management and accounting role of a Management Accountant, and will study the following:
Cost identification and classification, using absorption and marginal costing methods
Learn how to prepare a budget and identify variances in the budget, using financial and non- financial performance measures, and preparing reports from this information
Calculations and information will be studied in order to prepare for long term or short term decision making.
BA3 looks at the Preparation of Financial statements for a single entity will be studied and the process and understanding of the preparation of the financial statements.
Learners will be taught the principles and concepts of financial accounting along with accounting regulations.
Accounting transactions will be recorded and accounts prepared for an entity, using adjustments and reconciliations. Accounting ratios will be used, and an interpretation of the ratios and accounts will be also be explained
BA4 will identify the ethical principles and also ethical dilemmas and how to address them, and looking that the responsibility of organisations to behave ethically.
Learners will consider the requirement of CIMA members to adhere to the highest level of ethical behaviour and be able to resolve an ethical dilemma they may be faced with
They will cover the requirement for Corporate Governance, Controls and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
They will identify the differences and requirements of an internal and an external audit, covering errors and fraud.
